Dear King Family and Friends,

Welcome to the new school year! This year is going to be awesome and I hope you are as excited as I am. I love being a King Cub! This is my seventh year of teaching at King. I graduated from Creighton University with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, a Masters of Elementary Education and a  Masters degree in Educational Administration. I love reading, cooking, traveling, and Netflix! Please feel free to visit our classroom at any time and see what we're up to! Below you will find my contact information that you may use at any time. This year, I will be communicating with you through Class Dojo. Please see the details below to learn more about this amazing classroom resource.

Class Dojo

Class Dojo is a classroom resource that will allow us to communicate and strengthen our school-home relationship. Each student will have the chance to earn Dojo points for positive behaviors such as "taking initiative", "being prepared", and "respecting peers". You as parent will get a daily and weekly report about your child's positive behaviors and any behaviors for improvement. I will also share statuses, updates, reminders, and photos via our Class Story. Similar to Facebook or Instagram, you can like or comment on our photos, videos, and updates. Class Dojo is definitely the quickest and easiest way to reach me. I always have my iPad on-hand.  What I love most about Class Dojo is the focus on developing positive social skills such as kindness, having a growth mindset, and being mindful.
Follow the link below if you have not joined our Class Dojo.

Due to COVID-19, virtual learning has had to take the place of learning in the classroom.

This doesn't mean learning stops!

Please join our Google Classroom to see weekly communication, activities, and assignments uploaded by Miss Nolan.

Here are the steps:

1. Follow this link to our Google Classroom.

2. Use the Class Code provided by Miss Nolan to join.

3. Check our Google Classroom every Monday after noon for updates and new assignments.

Let's keep our minds sharp, King Cubs! Read EVERY SINGLE DAY. Be well!

Miss Nolan
