I am a Licensed Independent Mental Health Practitioner and have worked in the children’s mental health field for over 13 years. At King Elementary I use this expertise to provide support to students who may be struggling with anxiety, depression, grief, self-esteem, peer conflict, anger management issues, etc. I run a trauma counseling group called Bounce Back each semester to help students with developing coping skills to better deal with stressful life experiences that they may have had (ie death of a loved one, parental incarceration, witnessing domestic violence, homelessness, etc). If you feel like this is a group that your child could benefit from, please reach out for more information.
My past experience includes working as a therapist in an elementary school setting, providing in-home therapeutic intervention to children ages 4-21 and their families, and providing therapy to teenage boys in a residential setting.
I graduated from Webster University with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a Minor in Sociology in 2006, earned my Masters of Social Work from Washington University in St. Louis in 2008, and became a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in 2011.
